Sports Over the years ECS has combined high standards of education with an excellent athletic program. Our spring sports include a girl’s varsity volleyball team and a boy’s varsity and junior varsity soccer teams. Winter sports include boy's varsity basketball, girl’s varsity basketball and a boy’s junior varisty basketball team. Each year these teams play other Christian schools in the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools statewide leagues. Most years our teams are in the state finals and often bring home the state championship. During the 2006-2007 school year, our boy’s soccer team completed the year in first place in their league and fourth in the state. Our girl’s volleyball team was in contention for the state playoffs but lost a heart breaker at the end. ECS also has a cheerleading program for elementary and high school girls. Athletics are good, but they do not overshadow the real purpose of Christian education. |
